Good idea?

Vendredi, juillet 11th, 2008

From August 1st, Utah state employees will only work from Monday to Thursday before enjoying a three-day-long weekend.
They will have to work ten hours a day. The move is meant to save energy, as state employees will only commute four days a week instead of five.
The Department of Environmental Quality said as an example that employees in six buildings alone would save themselves more than $300,000 spent on petrol to commute to work.
Turning off the lights, the heat and the air conditioning on Fridays in 1,000 of 3,000  buildings will save about $3 million a year out of a budget of $11 billion. The state will also save on petrol used by state vehicles.
