This video (subtitled in French, watch it !) is made up of pictures and opinions of people from the Black community about their hopes about Barack Obama. The pictures were taken during a religious service. They refer to Martin Luther King as Doctor King.

This is a great song by Santogold (an American songwriter, producer and singer who studied Music and African-American studies)  yet I have to admit that the video is uncanny, strange. The use of colours is extremely clever, the director decided to play on the traditionnal colour codes but it exposes the violence of our society.

I loved the song but the end of the video is rather disturbing and upsetting.

This video is an advert made by a British Radio (Choice FM) against guns. I thought it was a clever ad, what about you ?

This is a very good video, it’s subtitled, so it won’t be difficult for you to understand. It deals with middle-class people, their feelings in terms of money, education, politics and other everyday issues like food prices. It was shot in Kansas,  a rural state situated in the Midwest (the heart of America).
