  The Eiffel Tower, initially named 300 metre tower, is an iron tower built by Gustave Eiffel and his co-workers for the World Fair of 1889.    It situated at the end of Champ-de-Mars, on border of the Seine, in Paris. Symbol of France and its capital the Eiffel Tower is the first paying monument visited in the world with 6,83 million visitors in 2008. 300 metres in height originally, prolonged afterwards by numerous antennas peaking in 324 metres, the Eiffel Tower remained the highest monument of the world during more than 40 years. Nowadays, it is used to broadcast TV and radio programs.
