Johan et Pirlouit    

Johan and Pirlouit is a series of comic strip realized by Peyo .

Johan, fearless knight, and his companion of adventures, the dwarf Pirlouit (and his  Biquette), lives in a Middle Ages of whim, where they are a part of the court of king.

At the beginning, Johan is the unique hero of the adventures. He meets Pirlouit during the third episode.

Peyo (Pierre Culiford) is an author who works for The Newspaper     of Spirou in the 50’s. Heis also very famous for the Schtroumpfs.

Main caracters:

Johan: rider of King, brave, skillful in the sword and in the bow, this young page with the brown hair dreams to become a knight. The expression which he uses mostly is ” Bon sang!”.  Pirlouit: fair, greedy, cowardly and mischievous dwarf and mediocre musician and singer, he lived on robberies in the Wood in Rocks before King employs him as jester. When he made a success of something, he shouts ” Piiirlouit! “

Biquette: goat black of Pirlouit.

King: good-humoured but firm, big amateur of wine,the King is liked by his subjects and by his vassals. He has a charming niece but no lineal heirs. We do not know his name. Homnibus: astronomer and magician, he has the skill of reading in a crystal ball. He is also an alchemist and a chemist. He is assisted by his apprentice, Olivier

Gaston Lagaffe:

Gaston Lagaffe is a fictional character created by André Franquin in the magazine of comic strip The Newspaper of Spirou in 1957. He is the absolute anti-heroe. In the begining, Gaston was just an extra of the comic strips of Spirou and Fantasio, and in 1966 he had his own serie.

André Franqin : A French-speaking Belgian author of comic strip, he is the creator of the serie spirou.

Main caracters:

Gaston: He is an office worker named Gaston Lagaffe, asked to sort out the mail, working on the newspaper of Spirou, and committing every week of numerous blunders.

Fantasio: He is the redaction secretary. He is often the victim of the Gaston’s blunder. He disapered when André Franquin decided to abandon the serie Spirou and Fantasio. 

Prunelle: He is the remplacement of Fantasio. Irascible, big consumer of adrenalin, smoking the pipe, he swore to be ” the man who made Gaston work ” and as such he chases him constantly to prevent him from making any siesta or any break and to remind him that he has to take charge of the late mail. He also tries to prevent him from cooking, from tinkering from inventing and, naturally, from hooking.

Ducobu:

The Pupil Ducobu is a series of comic strips the hero of which is a child tubby man, dunce in yellow and black lined polo,employing any sorts of techniques to try and copy her neighbour.

This series consists of 14 albums.

The scriptwriter is Zidrou (his real name is Benoît Drousie). He was teacher before write comics.

Main characters:

Ducobu: The central character of the series, eternal ingenious copier but always unmasked, he accumulates zéros, punishments and days spent in the corner with the dunce’s cap on the head.

Léonie Gratin:brilliant raises pupil and neighbour of class of the central figure, with ambivalent feelings towards this last one: most of the time irritated the attempts of fraud of her neighbour, she seems however loving of him in secret

Mr Latouche: Primary school teacher very strict.

Asterix :

Asterix is a fictional character created by the scriptwriter René Goscinny and the draftsman Albert Uderzo. The series Astérix consists of 32 albums and of some special issues.

René Goscinny is also the scriptwriter of the comics Lucky Luke .He is one of the most famous French comics scriptwriter.

Main characters:

Asterix: He is the hero of the story, he is small, blond and he has got A moustache (as all the men in his village). He is considered as the bravest man of the village and also the best hunter of wild boar. He always wears a flask of magic potion and a helmet with wings.

Obelix: He is Asterix’sbest friend  . He fell in a cooking pot of magic potion when he was young and now he doesnt have to and musn’t drink magic potion to have a superhuman strength. He is very fat and a litlle bit stupid , he has a small white dog whose name is Idéfix.

Getafix(Panoramix in French): He is the druid of the village. He is the one who invented the magic potion and without him, the village would have been destroyed by the Romans a long time ago.

Vitalstatistix(Abraracourcix in French): He is the chief of the village.

Cacofonix(Assurancetourix in French): He is the bard of the village. Opinions are divided as to his musical gifts.
