A platypus

It lays eggs and the mother produces milk.
It is between 30 and 45 cm long.
The flat tail is 10 to 15 cm long.
It lives in Esatern Australia, on river banks, in burrows.
It eats aquatic insects larvae and worms. It can eat its own body wight in one night.
It often rests in its burrow during the day, and it eats at night.

They are rabbit – size marsupials. They are small (30/60cm). They have got 4 strong claws, a large black and white tail.
They run and walk.
They eat lots of small insects (termites, beetles…) and fungi.
These nocturnal creatures live in the desert, there are not many of these marsupials nowadays, they are found only in patches of Western Australia. They build burrows.

It ests small fish.
It lives in Australia, it lives in the shallow coastal waters of Northern Australia where it finds protection from large waves and storms.
It is 3 metres long and weighs 500 kilos.
