Les deux auteurs américains ont été accueillis au lycée Jules Haag.

Les élèves ont présenté le livre de Ron Carlson autour d’un certain nombre de thèmes.

Ron Carlson s’est très gentiment prêté au jeu des questions-réponses sur son livre et sur sa vie d’écrivain.

L’assistance était très attentive ! la preuve en images.

Team 1 : Adrien, Elena et Noémie

We chose « Nature in Wyoming » as a subject for our poster because in « The signal » nature takes a huge place. Indeed, Ron Carlson made a lot of descriptions of the different places where Mack and Vonnie camp.

We selected five or six passages with the most representative descriptions of the areas, and we associated images which, according to us, look like what Carlson wrote.

We tried to show what the author wanted to convey with words.

Team 2  :  Mehdi, David, Shadi, Josselin & Quentin M.

The poster deals with the theme of cowboys which is present in Ron Carlson’s novel, « The Signal ». The poster is composed of five parties : the origin of  cowboys, the clichés about cowboys, cowboys in movies, cowboys today  and finally the place of the cowboy in « The Signal ».

After a presentation of the poster, Ron Carlson is answering some questions about cowboys such as why he chose to write his novel in a ranch or if he would like to be a cowboy himself or to have his own ranch.

Team 3:  Quentin J, Thibault, Thomas

First, we made a beautiful drawing. Then, we chose pictures of fly fishers. We also found a diagram showing the right movement, to explain this very particular way of fishing. We chose a green background to underline the link between fishers and nature.

Team 4 :  Laura, Clémentine et Morgane

We discussed Mack’s personality in the book. We also read a little passage that represents Mack’s thoughts during the trip and we asked the writer a few questions:  Why he chose the name of Mack, for example…

This is our poster, we have described Mack’s personality during his trip with Vonnie.

Comme annoncé, Ron Carlson et Ron Rash seront au lycée ce vendredi entre 10 h et 12 heures pour présenter leurs ouvrages.

L’auteur de l’ouvrage The signal sera au lycée Jules Haag le 13 mai entre 10heures et 12 heures.
