Correction Test December 18th

Good evening, sit down girl please, don’t be afraid. What’s your name?

My name’s Donna.

Okay, thank you. Right, now. Have you ever seen an E.T.?

Yes, I have. It was really impressive.and when I saw That E.T I was really scared.

I understand, When and where did you see that E.T?

I was on Holidays in Australia with my friend and I visited Ayers Rock, ther was nothing, nobody around, just my friend and me. And then there I saw an E.T.

This is very interesting Can you describe him please?

Of course, It was tall and slim with big eyes and a small mouth. When I saw it I thought it was a girl, but when it spoke was so tough! so I think it was a boy.

Do you think we can trust these E.T.s?

Seriously no. you see we saw lots of movies where aliens were nice, friendly etc…but personnaly I think they are devils (nom), (evil= adjectif). Really, we just can’t trust little green men!

Was your E.T. green?

No, it was black and blue, but in the movies they are always green.

What language did it speak?

It was very strange and I could not understand it. They were very strange sounds, very different from English or French.

Wow! That is really great. Thank you Donna, you have had a fantastic experience and you have been very brave. Good bye.

Thank you, good bye!

Translation:

Two of us have already found strange, unexplained scars on our bodies.

One of us has already been abducted by E.T.s.

Find the question:

Has he found a spacecraft?
Yes, he has.
Have you seen Men in Black?
No, we haven’t
Have they ever found strange unexplained scars on their body?
Yes, they have very often.

Comments on the quizz:

Number two is less significant because I may / have the right to  prefer
my other friends everybody calls everybody names so it is not so upsetting

Adjectif comparatif de supériorité irrégulier
bad                worse
good               better
less   /    more
hard, nasty
upsetting
troubling

Number 2 is less upsetting, less troubling than number 8

Calling someone names is not very significant because everybody calls averybody else names in the class

To swap= échanger

We must switch from number 8 to number 5 because it is more significant.

Why do bullies bully?

Bullies bully because they may have been bullied when they were small.
Bullies bully maybe because they were bullied when they were small,
because they want people to look up to them, to admire them.
Bullies bully maybe because their parents do that.

Advice you can give to a victim:

If you are being bullied, tell a friend, tell a teacher and tell your parents.
It won’t stop unless you tell someone. If you want to talk to your teacher you If you don’t feel you can do that, then go to the medical room (infirmerie)
and speak to the school nurse.
