English made easy…

Welcome to your new English blog. This is « the » place where you will all have a chance to find pieces of information about whatever might be useful for you this year in English, and where, hopefully, you will write articles too or add any new item that you simply want to share with others.

Have fun !

Trip to Cardiff

Bonjour à tous ! HELLO !

Today, we are writing to you from Cardiff. The few lucky ones who could get there had the chance to visit the Welsh assembly (and see how the Welsh Parliament works), the National museum of Wales (and enjoy

Turner’s vision of light), and last but not least went down 90 metres below and experienced the life and work of the miners in Wales.

But before that, we had stopped in London on the way and … enjoy !

à la découverte de Londres…

We’ll meet again with some moe news.

ATELIER ANGLAIS VERSION 4 : THE CHRISTMAS MURDER

The scene takes place at Christmas. There is a Christmas tree with presents underneath. A man has been murdered…

He is lying on the carpet, in the living room. He was killed with a gun.

We can see a woman in the foreground. She is very glamorous. She has got long hair and she is wearing a red  dress.

She may have shot the man and may have killed him in self defence because we can see she is holding a gun !

The scene takes place on Christmas Eve. There is a Christmas tree on the left with garlands and tinsel on it. And there are christmas presents in front of the tree. We can see a christmas present is unwrapped.

There is a woman in the foreground. She is holding a gun and wearing a long red dress. She has got long brown hair and she looks very glamorous, but also very angry.

In the background, a man is dead lying on the carpet. Maybe the woman has killed him ! Perhaps the man was reading a book in front of the fireplace. The lady went downstairs, realized it was her book and shot him !

Now, she is probably going to call the police and say she did it in self defence…

The scene takes place on Christmas Eve in a living room.

A man has been shot by a woman. He is lying on the carpet next to the Christmas tree. Under the tree there are presents which are unwrapped and there are books too. In the foreground a woman is going downstairs. She is holding a gun in her right hand. She is wearing a red dress. She has got long hair. She looks surprised and shocked.

She probably killed the man in self defence ! He may be a thief… who was trying to steal the presents !

The scene takes place in a living-room on Christmas Eve. There is a Christmas tree, a Christmas present on the left in the foreground.

In the background I can see a fireplace and the two Christmas socks hanging from the fireplace.

A long-haired woman is going downstairs. She is wearing a long red dress. She looks very glamorous and sexy. She is holding a gun.

She looks shocked too. Maybe she has shot the man who is lying on the carpet in the foreground. Perhaps she is taking revenge on this man ! He has unwrapped a Christmas present and that made her furious. He may be a burglar !

At the high school…

I have met lot of people, some of them being nice and very pleasant, that is why I enjoy school since I can see my friends, speak and laugh with them.
In my high school there are more activities like sports, or music or literature workshops. It let express what the pupils can imagine and show what they can attest.
In Désiré Nisard there are many teachers in each subject that is why the level of education is quite high in reports of many high schools.
Only, because the level is high, homework is higher too…but I think if you want to have a great general knowledge you have to work harder in junior high school.
Well, I can advise you to work much at junior high school and you can easily overcome this difficulty 

Welcome to high school !

Since the beginning of the school year, we have met many people as old as us, girls and boys. At high school, we can choose options for example : horse riding, sports, riding MTBs, etc…

It’s more difficult but it’s easy too!! We’ll explain : we think French and maths are harder but the other subjects are as simple as in secondary school J

The best thing is demonstrate ! In secondary school, you can’t do it :/

We have more homework and it’s so boring L

The advice for the new arrival

Since the day I arrived ,I have learnt many  things ,I have met many people and  I have worked much at school.

The level is much harder .The teachers are very demanding with the homework. They want us to do homework every day.

The spirit of pupils and teachers is different: the pupils are more mature and the teachers treat us like “adults”.

If I were you, I would work as soon as the school year begins!!

You’d better listen in class.

Year 11 is difficult but if you listen and work ,you will succeed!

                                                                GOOD LUCK!!
