The European students

english, semaine européenne 0 commentaire

On October 24th 2008, two English girls and a French student from « Sciences-Po » university came to speak  about their experiences . This is what I have undestood : Europe is a continent which has a flag composed of 12 stars, which represent the 12 months and the 12 hours. There is also a national anthem for the European Union.

European students came to the lunch room and, among them, there was one English who was there  to study in France for one year.

We spoke with them about Europe and about countries which are a part of the European Union (Portugal, France, England …Germany).

The English spoke to us about their studies and about the Erasmus project .

At the end the students got up and spoke with us about their country.

The week of Europe

We have drawn posters and we have hung them all over the canteen. We have made an english menu :

- stater : tuna mushrooms with mayonnaise and scrambled eggs with bacon

- A main course : pork ribs or chicken, then mashed sweet potatoes and vegetables ( lemon, honey, flavour)

- A pudding : berry cheesecake

It was good for everyone and bad for everyone.

When we went to Brussels

I was sitting next to Elodie and we were speaking about music when Garance asked me to come next to her so iI went next to her.  We spoke about evrything.

In the coach we saw a film (I can’t remember the title )  but it was very good and captivating.

When we arrived to Brussels we were divided into three groups. So we visited the city and the cathedral. It was very beautiful. Then we were very hungry. So, I went to a large square, we ate our sandwich and a crazy poor woman came to us. And she got angry because we didn’t give her any money so she put a spell on us, we are very afraid. When we finished eating the teachers left us so we went for a walk. It was wonderful because it was just before  Christmas. Alicia, Elodie, Garance and I went to a chocolate shop. We took lots of photos next to this shop because she was the most beautiful.

Before we arrived at  the Parlement building Alicia bought strawberries with chocolate. We took the coach again to go to the Parlement. When we arrived there someone welcomed us. During two hours we heard a man who spoke about the European Union. It was very boring because it was too long and hard to understand because the slides went too fast. Mr Pettelot was a pet with us and we are very pleased of this trip because it was a very good experience.

Thanks for all the teachers who went because they were very nice with us

In November, 3 students from different countries of Europe came to France, in our high school: Madame de Sévigné. One student was english, and two were french. All of them had taken part in the « Erasmus project ». It is a project which allows us to travel all over the world, especially in the Europe countries which accept this project. It gives us the possibility to discover new languages,  news culture, news food and a new way of life. We can live in the chosen country during 3months (minimun) ato 1 year (maximum).

Those are the countries that take part at the « Erasmus project »:
