COMMON ERRORS IN ENGLISH

• les verbes conjugués à la 3e personne du singulier du présent simple prennent un "s"
"She likes, he thinks that..."
• to go est toujours suivi de to sauf dans quelques expresions: I want to go to London this Summer exceptions: to go on holiday, to go home... • il y a = there is + nom singulier: "there is a dog in the garden" = there are + nom pluriel: "there are dogs in the garden" !! They are = ils sont!! • pour = for + groupe nominal (nom, pronom...) "I have a present for you" = to + verbe "I came to help you" • On n'accorde pas les adjectifs: pas de "s" "there were different people there" • to want ≠ will ≠ would Vouloir = to want (to) ex: "I want to become a doctor" !! Will est l'auxiliaire qui sert à former le futur: "I will be rich one day" !! Would est l'auxiliaire qui sert à former le conditionnel: " I would go on holiday if I had money" • Modaux (must, can, could, will...) + base verbale Les modaux ne se conjuguent pas, et sont suivis de la base verbale: "I must go to school" "I can speak English" "I could help you if you wanted" • which / who which se rapporte à une chose ou un animal: "a text which was written by..." who se rapporte à une personne : " this is the man who bought my car" • to agree (et to disagree) est un verbe comme les autres
Donc il se conjugue ainsi: "I agree (dont' agree /disagree) with you" I'm agree |
