here is the lesson you have to finish writing in your copy book

The emperor and his daughters

There was once an old emperor who was sick and who lived in an enormous, golden palace in the middle of the city Ping Chong.

He had three beautiful daughters but unfortunately no sons.

He wanted his daughters to marry with rich men before he died because he wanted to give them his inheritage.

He found three old and rich princes. However, his daughters didn’t like them because they looked ugly and old-fashioned.

There was a conflict between the emperor and his daughters. As they refused to marry the princes, the emperor became very angry and punished them.

He said they must get married when they were sixteen years old because it was the tradition.

The three daughters who were helped by their maids ran away during the night because it was the only moment nobody could see them and found work on a huge farm far away from the castle.

They fell in love with the farmer’s sons who were charming, kind, hard-working and strong, while they were working there.

Although the farmers were quite poor, they married the sons as soon as they were sixteen, and they lived happily ever after.
