UNESCO had declared February 11th as the « International Day of Women and Girls in Science ». Therefore, the French Federation of Clubs, Centers and Associations for UNESCO (FFCU), together with the Toulouse French region via club UNESCO Les Chemins Buissonniers, coordinated several events in this context. They took place in Toulouse and Toulouse region from February 4 to 14, 2019.
These events focused on the role of women scientists, particularly in the South and on the African continent promoting the fact that sex or origins should not limit and prevent a scientific career.
The events were under the patronage of the French National Commission for UNESCO, and partners who supported the events were:
