Last night, there was a terrible storm. I was watching television when suddenly all the lights (go) off. I (manage) to find two candles and a box of matches. I was going back to the living-room when I (hear) someone banging on my door. It was my neighbour. He (ask) me if I (have) any batteries or a spare torch. I (tell) him that I only had candles and I (give) him one. He (thank) me and went back home. Ten minutes later, the lights went back on again. Thank goodness for that!
