Cinderella was treated like a slave by her nasty step-mother and her horrible half-sisters. Every morning, she had to light a fire, sweep the floor, cook and lay the table. After lunch, she had to clear the table and do all the washing-up on her own.
During the day, she had to dust all the furniture, make the beds, clean the windows, wash all the clothes and dry them. She had to iron them when they were wet.
In the evening, she had to tidy the main room. And then, she was allowed to rest. The poor girl was so tired and so cold, that all she could do, was to sit by the fireplace and fall asleep immediately.
