Chuck Jones

One of the leading figures in the Pop Art movement, he took everyday objects or pictures and turned them into art.
He created a series of portraits of 'vulnerable' minorities (for instance Latin-American women or Native Americans) in protest against the election of Donald Trump in 2016.
He modelled a gigantic statue, 'the Angel of the North' from his own body to pay tribute to all the skilled trades that disappeared when the digital age began.
His inventive work was first considered to be for children only. Today, his cartoons are exhibited in art galleries and museums since they are seen as true art.
