Numbats are small (35-45cm). They have a pointed snout. Their legs are small. They have got 52 teeth, they have got brown and black hair. It has four legs and a tail and a long tongue for eating termites.

A numbat eats 10,000 termites each day.

They live in forests.

There are 2 types of Bilbies.

They are rabbit – size marsupials. They are small (30/60cm). They have got 4 strong claws, a large black and white tail.

They run and walk.

They eat lots of small insects (termites, beetles…) and fungi.

These nocturnal creatures live in the desert, there are not many of these marsupials nowadays, they are found only in patches of Western Australia. They build burrows.

They have got a short tail. They look like wallabies or kangaroos. They are furry animals.

They eat grass and leaves. They drink water.

Quokkas live in Rottnest Island in a hot climate. They live in groups.

They are very active at night and they sleep during the day.
