He died on June 22th in 1987.

He was American.

He was a good actor, dancer and singer.

In 1917, Fred Astaire and his sister started to work in New York.

From then on, he acted, danced and sang and he became famous.

Louis Daniel Armstrong was nicknamed Satchmo and Pops.

He was born on 4th July 1901 in New-Orleans.

He was a singer, a trumpeter and jazz-band leader and he was one of the most popular jazzmen in the 20th century.

He lived in New-York. He travelled a lot in his life.

He recorded many records such as St Louis Blues  and Hello Dolly!

He died in 1971 in New-York.

He lived at the same times as Elvis Presley and Neil Armstrong and Marylin Monroe.

Tex Avery by Clément E.

His name is Tex Avery or Frederick Bean Avery. He was an American cartoonist. He was born in 1908 in Texas (that’s why he was called Tex) and he died in 1980. He created famous cartoons and characters, such as Droopy, which was featured in sixteen cartoons.

 

Queen BOADICEA

Queen Boadicea was a queen of the Icenis tribe.She was married to an Icenian king, Prasutagus.

We don’t know when she was born or when she died but we know she lived in AD 60 or 61.

She was famous because she led the revolt in Great-Britain against the Romans and she fought them for the independence of her kingdom. She was poisoned.

Her name is Boudica, Boudicca or Boadicea.

BonHo was born in 1960 in Ireland. He is not dead. He is a musician, a singer and a songwriter. He is known for his songs with rock band U2 and their songs on Ireland. His true name is  Paul David Hewson

He is an English musician, an actor and a record producer. He used to play pop music and was a very creative artist. He was born in 1947 and he died in 2016. He is famous because he was a good singer.

Benjamin BRITTEN by Sébastien H.

Benjamin Britten was born in Lowestoft 22nd November 1913.
He composed his first works at the age of five!
When he was eleven Britten met and studied Franck Bridge, a composer.
In 1930, Britten went to the Royal College of Music to study piano and composition.
One of his first jobs was composing music for documentary films.
Britten went to the USA in 1939 with his friend the tenor Peter Pears. He composed a War Requiem.
When Britten came back to England, he composed one of his most important work Peter Grimes.
He died in Alderburg 4th December 1976.
