*** Listen, look at and read the tragedy of poor King Lear ***
KING LEAR was an old king with a kingdom* .
He had three daughters and three step-sons .
He no longer wanted to be a king and wanted to share* his wealth*.
What’s next?
He threw* his crown made out of* gold and diamonds on the floor*and left* his magnificient clothes*on the floor.
He no longer wanted power* and wealth* and
he didn’t want to be the king anymore*
but he wanted the affection of his family .
So he started* walking on the heath*,
naked [ei] and
everyone thought* he was crazy!
He wasn’t crazy* at all, but very clever,smart,intelligent*.
He was no longer interested in* power
but on the contrary
wanted to lead* a simple life.
He suffered* a lot because nobody* could understand* his decisions and his whereabouts*.
He walked* and walked* and walked* a lot here and there and no one could stop him.
The worst came to the worst when his favourite daughter,
died [ai].
Sorrow*, pain*, pain and sorrow were his kingdom*.
This is the sad story of King Lear who walked naked in the forest among the trees and who could see that his family was more interested in his wealth* than in his health!
Poor King Lear, the end of his life sounds like a tragedy!
