My dream circus

It is red, it is blue and  it is gold!

It has got a big top and there are lights and stars in its sky.

There is a lot of fun around!

The stars are shining and joy is shining in our eyes

There are artists : they are my school friends.

There are spectators: my parents, my brothers and my sisters and all my friends !

The spectators are sitting on the benches and clapping their hands

The clowns are funny because they are acting extremely well !

The music is pleasant and happy:

The teachers are pleased!

Some pupils are playing the guitar, the violin and the accordion.

The atmosphere is    a w e s o m e  :  it is pure magic!

At the end of the show, the lights are off…

We are happy to go back home because we are tired.

We have got make-up on and we must remove the make-up before we go to bed.

It is a perfect evening for all of us !

The Circus and its big top or marquee by Cindrella 6°4

It all happened on Friday night at our school Lucie Aubrac on June 9th 2017. Our show started at 8.30pm and the big marquee was crowded with parents who wanted to watch their children perform…

Before the show started we did our make-up… and we  were all looking  great like professionals!

Thanks to our teachers, Me André and Me Mougel, who did our make-up… they are the best!

Before we started, we were all under a lot of stress but when we arrived on stage all the stress was gone and we really enjoyed performing!

Basically, there were different groups in the big top or marquee.

Some were juggling, throwing balls or balloons in the air, catching and throwing them repeatedly so that  more than one  could stay in the air.

Others were doing acrobatics, splits, swinging, tissue acrobatics, restaurant sketches, and much more…

It was really a lovely view with appropriate lightings and it was  an amazing event and a day I  will never forget !

Finally my group was doing acrobatics on top of the trapeze…

We were jumping, jumbling and balancing… It felt so good entertaining everyone!

Every group had a story to tell.

At the end of the show, our form 6°4 sang a song for the headteacher of the school who will be retiring in a few months…

Our show eventually ended at 10.30pm and it was time to go home and some spectators bought refreshments and cakes…

and there were people sitting outside… the weather was rather quiet: neither rainy nor stormy. We were lucky!

What an amazing and awesome evening !

What a great experience for us all!

Calamity Jane

So many valleys, so many prairies,

so many rivers

And the joy of the plains

The good luck, the bad luck

I came across cactuses, coyotes,

Wagon chains

And lots of ghosts

I ran down all the worlds

My boots crushed the dust,

The happy times and the pains

I braved a hundred dangers

I crossed the lands that are dear to the Cheyennes

I even disappointed the Sioux over this

I left so much behind

I abandoned my heart in the desert

I submitted my body to the storms

I bet on tomorrow

I burned my dollars at poker

I burned all my pendants

I pursued gangsters, terrors

At night on my horse, in the heat, without a fan

I came across preachers, heathens

Men with neither law nor soul

And a hero without flaw, without mistakes

That I love

Calamity Jane

So many valleys, so many prairies, so many rivers

And the joy of the plains

The good luck, the bad luck

If heaven gave me the dream gift of a new life

I would live mine again without hesitating

Brendan is twelve years old.

He is an orphan: he hasn’t got any parents.

His father and his mother died.

He meets a very friendly girl: she is called Aisling!

She will help him. She is a fairy. He is looking for berries to make ink

because he wants to write the Chi Ro page.

Brendan is of medium height and size and has got ginger hair.

He lives in Kells in Ireland.

Brendan’s Uncle is the head of Kells.

He is taking care of other monks and people.

The book is very important to him.

The security and safeness of the monastery matters to him as well!

He  lives in a tower which opens with a very narrow door.

He  is very strict because he wants to save the monks and his people from the Northmen’s attacks.

The Secret Of Kells

Description of Aisling: long white hair and green eyes. She looks like a fairy and she is one! She has the power to turn the cat, Pangur Ban into a fish-cat, a spirit! She can use her spells!

Description of Brendan: short orange hair and blue eyes, long feet, curly and funny ears! He is the hero of the story and we can see him when he is older!

Description of the monks: Asian, African, all walks of life! They are wearing long red coats

I like the scene when :

When the bad guys come and attack the town of Kells

– When Brendan goes into the forest to look for an eye

My best scene :

– When Brendan dreams that the Vikings will attack Kells because he has visions and can trust his imagination! He is a visionary!

My least favourite scene :

– When Brendan makes a lot of drawings on the Book! He is inspiring!

I like the scenes when there is

  • a lot of suspense and many battles
  • when the forest is beautiful
  • when the book is beautiful and turns into a magic spell!
  • Pangur Ban is really cute with two different colours for his eyes! Pangur Ban did exist! He was one of the monk’s cat. The monk wrote poems about her!
