My new flatmate – Description du document iconographique p 12

What we have here is a still from the TV series FRIENDS.

The still is about a quarrel / a conversation between the characters.

The scene takes place nowadays, in the kitchen of a flat in New-York City, in the U.S.A.

We don’t know for sure what the weather is like but we can imagine it is cold because the characters are wearing winter clothes : for example Rachel is wearing boots and Ross is wearing a pull-over.

So we can imagine maybe it is autumn, spring or winter.

What’s more, the scene takes place in the evening because the window is black, we can see the night through the window.

There are many objects in the kitchen: in the middle, there is a round table with four chairs around it and there is a white fridge in the background. Next to it, on the left, there is a sink and there are shelves on the left and over the cupboard There are yellow curtains under the sink and on the window.

There are four characters :  Monica, Rachel, Ross, and Chandler aged between 25 and 35. Monica and Chandler are sitting but Ross and Rachel are standing. They are chatting / speaking /having a conversation They look worried / nervous.

Two other characters of the series, Phoebe and Joey,  are missing / absent

I think their conversation is serious/ is about a serious topic

I imagine they are worried because Phoebe and Joey are not in the flat.
