After I have seen many times « The lord of the rings » and both movies about « The hobbit », I decided to read the book. I started to read it since autumn’s holidays.
Today I’m at moment when Bilbo meets the spiders. The book is different than the movie. I like read this story, because I feel more impressions of Bilbo’s sensations. Thanks to this reading, I begin to have the interest to discovered this fabulous world of Tolkien between elves, dwarfs and wizards.
I think the book is more interresting than the movies ! like you I prefer to read descriptions and I can imagine by myself the wonderful world of Tolkien.
I tried to read this book too, but I was not surprised because I watched the film before…

I think this story is ordinary, I have already read similar stories !
I have never seen the movie but I have read a book and I think it’s really a beautiful world with magicals creatures (dwarfs,elves) and fantastic elements (forest) but a writing style has strange with not a lot description and rather many detals not very useful. But however I enjoy this book because the atmosphere is just a little similar with others fantastic book like Harry Potter or Percy Jackson…
I am also currently reading the hobbit and frankly I devour it because it is above my expectations, unfortunately some scenes from movies that are interresting are not in the book.
