I want to present the Island of Dr.Moreau that is a novel of science fiction written by H-G Wells and published in 1896. This story talks about a crazy scientist called Dr. Moreau. He is obsessed about the vivisection and the blood transfusion. Montgomery is his assistant. Both men do several surgery interventions on many animals whose goal is that these animals can speak and think like humans. Edward Pendrick is the only survivor of a shipwreck and he meets Montgomery and Dr. Moreau.
This book makes me think about Dr.Jekyll & Mr.Hyde because in both stories there is a scientist who likes doing some amazing experiences.

I read this book last year in class ( I remembert hat you were in ) and I found it really weird… I was very confused about the treatment of animals and the Dr. Moreau’s state of mind. I really don’t have a good memory about this story because I’m scared by the stereotype of crazy scientist..
I read this book and I found it very intersting. What does the science allow to do? Are you permited to do all what you want with science? what can be the results? This book questions about that. I think that the end suggests that the nature always recovers the humans’actions, when the animals become again just animals without thought.
I don’t know this story, but with the description which you makes, it is actually rather similar with Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde!
I loved this book, thank you for making me remember it, I think I’ll read it again soon.
