Days of the week
In class plants
We read a book about water and the different ways water is useful for us. Then the children watered their individual plants.
Preparing for the Carnival
Stencils were chosen by the students as well as textile paint to create some very lovely t- shirts ready for CARNIVAL!!!!!
In class activities
Patterning, shapes dominoes etc.
Afternoon games and the worm farm
The week ended with games and checking on the worm farm. A large group played UNO , learning strategy, using game vocabulary, and learning to play in a group. Others played ‘Connect Four’ and ‘Blockus’,
Sign Language
As we continued on our adventures for the ‘The Day of the Handicap’, they engaged in several activities that taught them about language for the death/mute. They took turns to spell out their names using the language of signing. The British Association for the Deaf has a very wonderful/useful website for children to explore different words. Your child has a colour printed sheet of school words for them to practise signing with.
We played with words such as hello, drink, eat, etc.
Capital letters and Lowercase letters
The students tried identifying the difference between the capital letter with the lowercase letters. As you can see from above, some letters are not as obvious to identify as others.
Spring planting
Moyenne section have started their spring garden by putting soil into their pots. After they were able to water the SOIL.
