Extract 1: Matthew’s lawyer’s plea 

Matthew Poncelet has been in prison for six years, awaiting execution after being convicted and sentenced to death for killing a teenage couple.

The scene takes place in a courtroom. Matthew’s lawyer delivers his final plea.
