Hello,

This weekend with Melodie, Mariame Deh and Ines Meghezzi , we have visited the prison – which has become a museum.

We were lucky to have a guided tour in English, of course! Kilmainham Gaol is a former prison in Dublin managed by the Office of Public Works, an agency of the Ireland Government. Many Irish revolutionaries, including leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising, were imprisoned and executed in this prison on the orders of the British government. Since then, there has always been a bit of animosity between English and Irish despite the passage of time.

In the evening we went to the famous « Temple bar » where we tasted the Irish beer and, we saw the Irish atmosphere with many singers. It was a great time because of the typical Irish atmosphere.

The only unpleasant thing was the weather, it rained a lot and we got home, soaking wet. Irish winter…

Bye for now
