Last week, the Euros 4 celebrated Halloween with Hanaa, Alice, Lisa and Eva, who directed a scary version of the Blair Witch Project….
….and Bonfire Night, with Robin and Yanis, who introduced us Guy Fawkes and his plot to kill King James I.
Both groups did a good job!

Last week, we celebrated Easter with Clémence and Coline. They told us about the origins of this celebration and about egghunts in the Anglo-saxon world.

Théo and Gautier told the class about St David’s Day, which is the national day in Wales. For the occasion, they told us about Welsh habits and that was very helpful, as no student had ever heard of that special day.
Last Tuesday, Irish people celebrated St Patrick’s Day. Amandine and Angèle told us a little more about this very popular celebration:
For the occasion, some pupils wrote limericks, which are humorous poems of five lines, in which the first, second, and fifth lines rhyme with each other, and the third and fourth lines, whichare shorter, form a rhymed couplet. They’ll post them on the blog very soon!
Before the holidays, we celebrated Pancake Day (aslo known as Shrove Tuesday) with Emile and Antoine, who even cooked pancakes for the occasion! Thank you guys, you made our day!

Yesterday, for the last class of year 2014, Célia and Astha told us about Christmas. They explained the origins of this celebration and how British people celebrate it.
It was very interesting….but they forgot two things: to sing carrols…..and to bring chocolate of course!
