Blue Ridge Moutains walk

On Sunday 16th, we went on a hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains with our host families. We met at 10:00 am in a parking. The ascent was very nice but also very hard. During this ascent, we found a tree with a hole in which we could enter as you can see in this picture.

There were many dead tree trunks which were black inside because they were burned by the sun. Once up, the view was spectacular and Mael’s host father served us hot chocolate, it helped us to be hotter and to give us energy to go down. When we returned, we saw a lot of streams in the rocks wich formed stalactites. After this walk, which lasted more than two hours, we went in a restaurant where we ate an hamburger and some oinon rings. It was a great and exhausted day where we discovered a beautiful place. Moreover, it allowed us to get to know an other american family. We both really apreciated this special moment.
