In this message, Snowden is warning us about the mass-surveillance organized by the govts.

He compares it with the book 1984, written by George Orwell in 1949, a science-fiction book at the time. A famous quote is “ Big Brother  is watching you”

In the book, the devices/ means  used are : microphones, video cameras and TVs.

However  today,  technology is much more developed.We are tracked with our mobiles  and we can be observed / watched with the cameras on the computers..

According to Snowden, privacy is very important .
