Blackpool is a very famous seaside resort, just like Deauville in France. The Tower is the most famous seaside landmark in England. It opened in 1894, and people paid sixpence for a ticket.

This story was published in 1926. There was a real bear called Winnie at the London zoo. It is a children’s classic in Great-Britain.

It is England ‘s favourite bird, famous for its melodic song and its red waistcoat. It is represented on many Christmas cards. It also symbolises spring and it used to symbolise postmen, because they had a red uniform.
