Forget the title of this post, it doesn’t cover everything written here. There’s the confusion of satisfying needs in the present and chasing financial freedom for the future. Truth is, limitations and lack is why we can’t kill two birds at a time in some certain economic issues. For example when I first dropped out of college i had to make preferences at all times, my life in totality was guided by preferences, I didn’t have the luxury to make numerous choices and this made my prune my numerous desires and see my physical necessities as the only wants I should desire.
In all honesty, I didn’t see being in lack as poverty, I only saw it as a equilibrium between underspending and overspending, there was this psychological sanity that it brought me as a person. I experienced lack and want all my teenage and early 20s and Irrespective of the fact that having money doesn’t allow you to eat your cake and have it, I had to look for means to spend money while satisfying two or more needs as well. It’s challenging to do the undoable but it’s either I look for a way or I don’t at all and it costs me a lot.
So there was determination for the future but first the present would have to be satisfied, in earnestly our scale of preferences will eventually change with time because needs will evolve and desires will fade over time but if the present now becomes the past can we certainly say the needs and desires we once satisfied has be instrumental to the desired future we crave? In this publication, there’s nothing sacrosanct about choosing to satisfy present desires and futuristic goals because each and every individual has different opinion and this opinion however flawed it is cannot be totally wrong
In all honesty I don’t see education as something that should rid one of poverty, the aspect of employment is an added advantage. However in less developed economies people are hardly given the chance to earn a daily meal not to talk of thinking of financial freedom. This freedom comes from being independent from daily or monthly income in other to foot one’s basics needs. Sadly this isn’t so in so many places. The purpose or main theme of this publication is that it’s difficult to see the present or the future as the main priority especially if you’re not given the opportunity to.
