George Washington was born on 22nd February 1732 in Pope’s Creek in Virginia. He died on 14th December 1799 in Mount Vernon .
 His mother was Mary Ball and his father was Augustine Washington.They were farmers.  He left  school towards the age of 15.
He was chosen to be  the commander-in-chief of the American Revolutionary forces in 1775.
George Washington was the first President of the United States ( 1789-  1797 ).
He participated in the writing of the American Constitutution. The day of his death is a holiday  in America. His name was given to the capital of the United States.
He is considered to be the founding father of the United States.
