Charles Augustus Lindbergh was born in Detroit on 4th February 1902.
His parents were Swedish immigrants. His father was a lawyer and his mother was a teacher.
He was an American pilot.
He was famous for the first solo, non-stop flight across the north of the Atlantic from Roosevelt Field, North America to Paris in 1927. The name of his plane was « Spirit of St Louis ». Lindbergh became the world’s best known aviator.
He died in 1974 in Mawi,Hawaï.
