Scones for British High Tea

scones

250g flour

1 packet of baking powder

50g butter or margarine

1 handful raisins

2 teaspoonfuls sugar

10 cl milk

Heat the oven at 200°C.

Mix flour, baking powder,  butter, raisins with sugar.

Pour the milk little by little and pat the dough.

Roll the dough into a 3 cm- thick cylinder.

Cut into 2 cm-thick slices.

Bake in the oven for 10 mn.

Serve with butter, jam or marmelade or clotted cream.
